Classes
If an exercise class is desirable for stretching, flexibility and
aerobics we offer an extensive range of classes. Yoga, Pilates,
Dance and Boxing aerobics classes are included in membership and
offered six days a week in the mornings and the evenings.
PILATES:
What is it? Pilates was developed by Joseph Pilates during World
War II to rehabilitate injured soldiers. Pilates (puh-LAH-tess)
is a system of controlled stretches that engage the abdominal muscles.
Members attend classes at Cabrillo Fitness Club using the ab-intensive
mat work out format.
YOGA:
Yoga is a 5ooo year old Indian art that aligns mind, body and spirit
through postures or stretches controlled breathing and meditation.
There are hundreds of different schools of yoga, most if not all
have the common lineage of Hatha yoga, which incorporates slow movements
with loots of stretching and controlled breathing.
BODY SCULPTING:
A 60 minutes work out you do not want to miss. After an aerobic warm
up, you will get a work out with weights both upper and lower body.
Also includes abs and streches entertaining and fun.
BOXING AEROBICS:
Using the basic training methods and movements of boxing this class
has participants hitting and kicking free standing punching bags,
doing push ups and jumping rope in order to enjoy achieving their
cardiovascular workout.
Classes are on a drop in basis and open to all members at all
times.
